I actually brought this because my foot was fractured. I don have a bunion, I needed something to relieve the pressure on my big toe as I gradually began to wear shoes. I have to say it worked the only problem that needs to be corrected is as the elastic stretches it causes it to slide up.Several times I had to remove my shoe, sock to smooth it out .I would recommend it.
